Dog Walking

Our pets are an important part of our lives. Responsible dog walking has benefits to both the dog and the dog owner. I voted for the Park Commission to look at two ways in which we can increase services to the dog walking community. First, the park commission is looking at more opportunities within the township where dog walking could occur. Second, they are looking at partnering with Dane County, and/or other municipalities with the objective of putting in a new dog exercise area in close proximity, and would service the central and southern portion of the Town of Middleton. The number of homes that need dog walking opportunities is substantial and is increasing. As part of my vote to guide the Park Commission, I do want the commission to look for these opportunities, however we should not reintroduce dogs into our sensitive conservancies.
